SPS Airport Service Road (ASR) Simulation and Modeling Experience Presentation at the 2021 AirTOP User Group Conference

From 9th November to 11th November 2021, SPS simulation and modeling experts participated in the 2021 Annual AirTOP User Group Conference. This conference was hosted by Transoft solutions, the developer of AirTOP suite of air traffic simulation software.  SPS was invited as a guest speaker to share our experience and lessons learned regarding Airport Service Road (ASR) simulation.

The ASR network is an important part of every airport’s operating environment, as it connects ground service equipment (GSE) with terminals, stands, GSE loading/unloading points and parking/storage areas.  A comprehensive and efficient ASR network ensures apron safety and ground service efficiency. In our presentation, SPS shared project experience at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport (XIY). By using AirTOP to simulate GSE operations around aircraft stands and on airside service roads, SPS identified operational hotspots and bottlenecks, and proposed ways to improve GSE operational efficiency.

SPS is an experienced user of advanced aviation simulation software, including AirTOP. We are experts on Airspace/Airfield Aircraft Operations, Ground Service Equipment operations, Terminal Passenger Flow, Aircraft Stand and Gate allocation Simulation and Modeling. SPS will continue using state-of-the-art industry technologies to provide the best solutions for our global airport clients.    SPS is pleased to share our experience with other experts in the aviation industry – through these sharing and technical exchanges, SPS can grow together with our peers and improve overall airport performance for our clients.
